Hey guys. I just read my provisional contract thing and it said I need an overall average of a b. What exactly would constitute a b on the 0-100 scale? 85? What would constitute a c for a class? Also do they mean for whole senior year or just second term? Thanks!

I would think that above an 80 average would constitute a B...a C being in the 70's - this is how it would work on an Alpha-scale...

and they mean the whole year - 3.0/B average

In answer to the second part of your question, I think they mean all of senior year...not a specific term. You can double check this on the newly admitted bruins site! gl!

    80-89 is a B.

I have heard that they are quite serious about this requirement...a girl got into UCLA a few years ago and started to cut classes soon afterwards, resulting in some very undesirable grades...her teachers (my english teacher included) wrote letters to UCLA about her actions...She was told that she was on academic probation and would be revoked unless she completed summer school courses for make-ups...how much would that suck?!
~supposedly this is not that uncommon of an occurrance, certainly a deterrant from senioritis!

I cut, but I make up the work... cuz the teachers dont really care LoL.. but yeah definitely stay on top of ur grades if u're gonna cut and stuff. Our school has a very strict policy about cutting but ppl do it anyways. c'mon after 4 yrs of hard work, everybody deserves a bit of break. point is u need to have self-control and not go crazy and do drugs, party, or w/e everyday.

Basically I'm doing nothing, except on days before tests and finals when I study like mad. Just get the important points and you'll be fine.

sounds like me... i don't do anything for test though... but fortunately for me all the tests i've been having are mostly or all multiple choice
