could i still get into UCSB with one D in my last quarter of senior year?
Hi, I am presently taking a gap year in Europe after graduating high school in NJ and I'm about to start my application process and then hopefully I'll be able to attend UCSB next year if I get accepted.
I have a 3.9 UW GPA from Sophomore and Junior year and a 29 ACT but I'm just slightly worried that I might have gotten a D+ in Honors Precalculus during my last quarter of senior year (I never received my last quarter senior year grades so I'm not 100% what my final grade was). I have read that UC schools will not accept students who receive anything below a C during any a-g classes but I'm uncertain if this corresponds to a whole year grade or simply any grade from a quarter, trimester, marking period, etc. I got an A and then two B's during my 1-3rd quarters so my overall grade for the class should not be lower than a B- including a possible D. Besides I had already completed 4 years of math with only A's previous to taking precalc so does that mean that it does not count in the a-g classes?
I would really appreciate if someone could let me know if this one D in my last quarter of senior year would mean that I won't have a chance of being accepted?
