UCSB vs. USD Honors Program

Hi! So I was planning to go to USD's school of business in its Honors Program. However, this morning, I was admitted to UCSB off the waitlist as an econ major. I like the idea of smaller classes, but UCSB is definitely more prestigious than USD, and I want to go into the business world. UCSB is $6,500 cheaper per year, which means it's $26,000 less for my education. What do you guys think? I'm really torn here. If you guys could let me know about the social life at UCSB, dorms, greek life, etc. that would be very helpful! I only have until May 9 to decide. Thank you!

hi, I def recommend UCSB. UCSB has good econ research and professors. You can also enroll in the honor's program in UCSB after your first year (GPA>3.5). Do not worry about too many parties, it is actually good to socialize with other students and even professors.

So, I ultimately chose UCSB for superior academics and the possibility of the honors program!
