is it really stupid to be a pre med at u chicago due to the harsh gpa curve?

i think of myself as a capable students with average stats for most elite schools 1450 sat 3.7 gpa

but i am really concerned about my GPA for U of Chicago. is it really hard to earn med school gpa at chicago? am i better off going somewhere else?
