Good professors

MengMeng Registered User Posts: 342 Member
How do we figure out which professors and classes are actually prefered when we sign up for classes? I suppose I'm asking for suggestions from the current students, especially for engineering majors. Calculus, Physics, etc courses as well as ECE first year too if applicable. Thanks!

don't try robinson for calc 220. He is awful. I don't think armstrong is that good for calc 2. I liked mine but he was a little off. As for physics from the 2 in 211 I liked Pitts way better than Debevec. But they are prolly different.

Thanks Jeff, I'm hopefully going to save myself a lot of trouble by doing this. Interesting professors = good grades.

If you're a freshman in ECE, then you're probably taking ECE 110. Brunet teaches the lecture for ECE 110 and Franke teaches the lab sections, so there's no selection to be made there. They've both had a lot of experience teaching this class to freshmen, and I think they're pretty good at it. Be aware that this is a weedout class, and about 20% of the class gets a D or F and are discouraged from continuing in ECE.

holy u kidding me? is it that hard? or juz ppl are slackin?

It is that hard, and like all engineering classes, there is a strict curve, which in this case assigns the bottom 20% a D or F.

Warning: It's basically hit or miss with these two websites, and you often don't get enough opinions to get a comprehensive look at a prof.

Those sites really helped me out! Thanks everyone, I have orientation on monday (June 6th) and it took me a couple HOURS to schedule classes. It's so annoying. Oh well, I hope I picked decent sections.

Yeah I don't think they are set in stone. You still have to actually register for them. If your not sure you can always type em out. Anyways I get down there on June 7th. One day too late. Too bad.
