Placement Exams???

boondocks46boondocks46 Registered User Posts: 112 Junior Member
When signing up for orientation, I found that all incoming freshman have to take a math and English placement exam. However, if I placed out of both with 5's on AP exams, why do I need to take such an exam?

Also, for the journalism major, I noticed that ENGL 101 is required. Does that mean I cannot place out of it?

Thank you.
