Chance me please?

White female OOS (Massachusetts) prospective computer science major
GPA: 4.33 (W) 3.75 (UW)
SATs: Math 690 CR 670 W 630
(I'm taking them again in December to try and get my math score in the 700s)
Rank: 17/234 (top 10%)
Classes: Took the most rigorous classes my school offers all 4 years (16 honors classes, 7 APs)

ECs aren't great but maryland doesn't seem to put as much emphasis on them. I have work experience at an after-school program for kindergarteners and over 300 hours of community service.
Clubs- best buddies, Latin club, and key club(publicist in 11th grade, president in 12th)

What are my chances?

@Mak113‌ did you apply before the priority deadline of November 1? If so, I don't think they will see your December SAT scores. Having said that, I think you have a great shot at getting in with your current scores. Your GPA, rank, and course load all are strong. Hopefully your essay and recommendation are also good. Good luck to you!

Thanks for the reply. I did not apply early. I'm going to apply by the regular January deadline. Do you think they'll see my December scores if I apply regular?

I'm pretty sure they will see your December scores, but just to be safe I would choose them as one of the 4 providers for Collegeboard to autosend the scores (for free!) when they become available.

The thing that's probably going to hurt the most is not applying by the priority deadline. The counselors at the open house said that UMD takes 80% of their admits from the EA deadline. Also, you wont be eligible for any merit scholarships. Hopefully the score does increase, because not applying by the Nov. 1st deadline will hurt your chances.
