Chance Me: University of Maryland

Hello! My dream school is the University of Maryland. Even though I'm pretty sure I'll get in at UMD, I would like to attend the honors college and receive a full ride to UMD (the Banneker/Key scholarship) and I was wondering what chances I had of getting it.

-out of state
- 4.7 weighted gpa
-in high school but part of an early college program (I will have about 36 college credits done by the end of high school) at the community college
-i am part of the honors program AT the community college, so I'm taking honors college classes
-President of the Academic Team
-Red Cross Club
-volunteer at local arts center and creator of recycling program there
-High School Democrats member and representative for my specific high school
-fluent in Spanish (Colombian)
-required to do 50 service hours per year (though I will end up with much more than that)

Thank you so much!

    Chance me, please?

    -Out-of-state transfer (Spring 2018)
-School: Highline Community College (Washington State)
    -College GPA: 3.96
    -Major: Biology
-Intended Major at UMD: General Biology
    -PTK member

-I've taken Gen Chem and Bio series. For Math, I only took PreCalculus I (I did not take the PreCalc II, which is a prereq for Calculus in Washington; I initially planned to take the PreCalc II at University of Washington if I were to apply there but we moved to Maryland instead)

-I do not have SAT/ACT since I have 80 cc credits.

-EC: I do not have any extracurricular activities and/or job experiences because of personal reasons(not medical), making me just stay at home after school.

    -Awards: Outstanding Performance in Biology

-I worry that I have a little chance of getting accepted since they prioritize Maryland residents coming from Maryland community college.

-Even if I'll get accepted, I'm not sure if I can enroll because of financial constraints of applying as an out-of state student.

At UMD, only students admitted into the Honors College are eligible for the BK Scholarship. To be eligible for admission into the Honors College, you must apply by the Priority Deadline (Nov 1).

Every year, approximately 400 students (from those admitted to the Honors College) are invited to interview for the BK. About 250 of them get the Full Ride BK. The others get a Partial BK. GPA and SAT scores are only 2 of the deciding factors
