I am a sophomore applying to the UMD business honors program. I was wondering if anybody participated in this program and if it was really worth it.

@jnz123456, In general departmental honors programs are highly respected (more so than honors college because honors college invites are based on high school performance whereas departmental honors are based on college performance.) I can also tell you that departmental honors is noted on your actual diploma whereas honors college is listed as a citation on your transcript. The best bet for details of the program would be to speak to Dr. Charles Olson.

In addition to departmental honors, the business school also offers a lot of unique "fellows" programs, and you should look into them as well for programs more specific to your interests.
