Congratulations to everyone accepted under Early Action, and good luck to all deferred applicants and all of the regular applicants! I am so excited to have been accepted to the University of Michigan and I'd love to hear from you other accepted students. Write back about your plans, where else you are applying, if Michigan is your top choice, and any other comments. Go blue!

Accepted College of Engineering. So happy to finally be into college, I will also be applying to Georgetown, Rice, Northwestern and Lehigh (looking for some merit money). I applied to Ross so if I get in there Michigan will shoot to the top of my list.

Accepted LSA :) First college decision/acceptance. However, since I'm OOS, it may come down to finances. I've also applied to UNC- Chapel Hill EA, NC State (accepted, won't attend), Rice RD, Duke RD, Penn RD, Stanford RD, Wake Forest RD, UVA EA, and |_|Miami EA. Michigan's my #1 if all were the same cost, but if I'm accepted to UNC, it'll be hard to beat that price.

I was accepted to COE but it'll come down to financial aid whether I go there or not. It really is my number one choice, but being oos I can't just disregard cost. I was accepted to Illinois and GT, but I don't really want to go to either as the cost will probably be the same. I applied EA to UVA and will apply to VT so if I get into UVA i'll prob end up going there and if not, then VT.

I was accepted in the College of Engineering, and, being my first college acceptance, I am very excited. It is currently one of my top choices, though I haven't visited yet and it's fairly far from home (I live in NJ). I'm also applying to Northwestern, Lehigh, Bucknell, University of Rochester, and Carnegie Mellon, and I'm waiting to hear back from Drexel (though I already know the answer).

After seeing the stats of some people who were deferred from engineering, I'm a little surprised I got in. Some people seemed way more qualified than me in terms of ACT and ECs, though my essay may have been a major factor. Congrats to everyone else who got in, and good luck to everyone who was deferred.

I, among many others, was also accepted to the College of Engineering. I am applying RD to Yale, Rice, Duke, Univ. of Delaware, Princeton, and Cornell. I really don't have a #1 and am trying to keep my options open, but I'd love to learn more about Michigan since it has great engineering and seems like a really cool place. I'd like to visit campus, although it's definitely a hike from New York. Overall really excited to have been accepted!

When are the financial aid things announced? They aren't out yet right?

I am so thrilled to have gotten into Michigan! I didn't realize that so many qualified students would be deferred. It's not that I had terrible stats, but my ACT score was not the best (slow-ish reader). I really think it came down to essays and recommendations. I took a few chances on my essays because one of my topics was rather unconventional. This was my first choice, and if I didn't get in I was going to send a retake ACT score in and apply to Wesleyan, Georgetown, Grand Valley (and other in-state safeties). Since I'm in-state I will end up getting a really good deal, I think. I'm also supposed to get a scholarship from a foundation in my county that takes the top 50 students in each school in the county and gives them scholarships. Okay, I'm rambling. Sorry. I'm just beyond ecstatic right now!

Same, I was surprised by all of the qualified applicants in the decisions thread that were deferred, but it made me all the more thankful for my acceptance.

I was so happy to get accepted! I was kind of worried because a lot of kids at my school had similar stats as me. Luckily most of us got in. I was accepted to the CoE from Pennsylvania. Im still waiting to hear back from Princeton Cornell, UVa, Lehigh, and Drexel.

Does anyone know when we'll hear about financial aid?

Anyone know if there is a legitimate class of '17 facebook page for Umich yet?

@Shazam I was wondering the same thing too!

Accepted to LSA for Bio! So excited!! I applied also to Northwestern, Columbia, NYU, and UNC (EA) but Michigan is one of my top choices!!

I'm in-state and I am so in love with Michigan. It's just such a great school. I got into Fordham, Loyola Chicago and Michigan State and I'm still applying to Mount Holyoke, Smith, Barnard and Wellesley, but I'd say there's a 97% chance I'm going to end up at Michigan. If I go I'm probably going to do the Residential College and I'm going to write for The Michigan Daily. So excited!

I was accepted into the College of Engineering too! I also was accepted to University of Illinois and Northeastern, but UMich is one of my top two choices, so I was most excited for this acceptance out of the others!! I am also waiting on Penn State and applying RD to USC, Northwestern, Cornell, and Carnegie Mellon. For me, it will also come down to cost, so I have to rely on scholarships (crossing my fingers). If only college wasn't so expensive...
Anyway, Congrats to everyone who got in!
