Application Question- Special talents, honors, achievements, awards essay question?

ibelieveinmyselfibelieveinmyself Registered User Posts: 33 Junior Member
I am currently working on the application for UMN, and I've come across this question:

Please list any other special talents, honors, achievements, awards, or activities that don't fit above.

People who were accepted, or anyone, really, what kind of things does one write in this box?
I'm kind of confused.

I probably asked this same question last year, so I think I could help you out. I would say to just do what it says. That's what I did last fall, and I was accepted with a pretty good scholarship package.

If you have awards that you feel add to your application, put them there. I happened to find my old application so I took a look. I listed an award I earned on a language exam, a leadership seminar I was chosen to attend, a couple athletic honors, a position in a community service organization, and that I had written for a local newspaper. Just list whatever you think is relevant.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. It's not going to count nearly as much as your GPA, ACT score, etc.
