Army ROTC program

My son has been awarded a 4-year Army ROTC scholarship to 3 different schools (he's already been accepted to all 3). We're looking for insight into the UMT Army ROTC program as that is one of his top two choices in schools. Any input would be appreciated! (His other top school is Oregon State.)

Oregon State definitely has better weather, and has just as many opportunities for outdoor activities. The mountains to the east, and the ocean to the west. Also, has greater access to other activities, (with Portland not far away, for example). Simply put, a lot more to do at OSU or nearby. Generally, both schools are equivalent academically.
