Should I retake the act before I apply to UNC?

I'm currently a freshman at centre college. After realizing finance is what I really, really want to do, I've been looking at "target/semi target" schools I think I could realistically have a chance at. UNC(CH) has a pretty high transfer rate, and I'm OOS but I've read that's not taken in account for transfers.

HS GPA - 3.86 UW
4 AP my junior year, 4 AP my senior year.

ACT - 29 comp

My college gpa could be from a 3.3-3.7 I really don't know yet. I'm thinking to the higher side... Econ calc chem

Ahh sorry accidentally hit submit (on iPhone). But yeah I'm taking Econ calc chem and humanities. Will the more rigorous schedule be taken into account at all?

I have good job experience and good high school ECs. Working on college EC.

My question though, is should I retake my act? I could do the feb 9th testing and study during my winter break. I think I could bring it up higher now that I actually know how to study.

I talked to all of my professors minus one today.

And the general consensus is I'll most likely have a 3.4 college GPA... I could possibly have a 3.5 GPA though depending on finals.

However, my high school GPA is actually 3.89 not 3.86 (not much of a difference, but I did better senior year). If I took the ACT and got a 30+ with a 3.89 UW HS GPA, would I still have a chance of getting accepted as a transfer with a 3.4 college GPA?

You might want to try posing the ACT question on the parent's forum or the ACT/SAT forum--I'm not sure how common it is to even take the ACT again once you are already IN college. I always thought once you were in college, it was your college record that was the most important--but of course with an early transfer like yours, they'll still look at the high school record and test scores, too.

But I'm no expert. The parent forum folks seem to know a lot about transfers and such, having lived through it w/ their kids.
