I just found out I was waitlisted (online-guess they posted decisions early). Anyone else?

Waitlisted.... are you going to stay on the list?

I have no idea. I don't know how many they take from their waitlist, or how many are waitlisted in general, so who knows what the odds are. I'm assuming they have a large waitlist, which doesn't inspire much hope. You?

The statisitcs came with my letter. You can also access it through your online letter. I believe last year it was 250 of 1125 were taken off the list. They are expecting 400 in-state, 300 out-of-state to be placed on the waitlist this year.

I'm considering it because (if I get in) I believe I would go to UMD-College Park and I would only lose their $200 deposit if UNC accepted me. The $200 is worth it for me.

Anyone else going to put their name on the list? I still really like this school and feel D should put her name on the list but although she seemed to like the campus when we visited.. she now says it is too big and that she thinks that she will get lost "in the crowd" > any comments on this i.e. size??

Lsandin, we visited uNC and really liked it. My daughter did not feel that it was too big, in spite of the 'numbers'. We walked aroud campus, cafeterias, and it was never crowded...there are just so many buildings, green areas, and things to do, that no single area feels overwhelming.

UNC is still on our list.
