What are my chances: Class of 2020

I'm a current senior, and Notre Dame is my number one school. I think it would be the perfect fit for me considering the amount of involvement as well as the balance of rigor that is present. I was just wondering if anyone who had prior experience with Notre Dame's admissions could tell me what my chances would be of getting in?

GPA: 3.61 unweighted, 4.23 weighted
Current class rank: 14/120
Course rigor: 4 honors classes freshman year, 4 honors & 1 AP (APUSH) sophomore year, 4 honors & 1 AP (AP comparative gov) junior year, 2 honors & 3 AP (Calc AB, bio, and English) senior year -- we were not allowed to take more than one AP class until senior year, and the max was 3.

Standardized tests:
SAT: Will not take
ACT: 26 (29 english, 25 math, 26 reading, 23 science, 27 combined english/writing, 8/12 essay)

Interact Club of Rotary International (Secretary from 2012-2013/President from 2013-Current): Local and international service club
Student Government (Treasurer from 2012-2013/ Vice President from 2013-Current)
Band (Jazz, Marching, and Concert): 1st chair trumpet
National Honor Society
Model United Nations
TEAM Library: Local volunteer organization

Rotary Youth Leader
(2) Division 1 IHSA Band Contest

Volunteer work:
400+ accumulated volunteer hours ranging from nursing homes, library, food pantry, local events, etc.

Particular areas of concern: ACT Score and class rank/gpa

Thank you in advance for the consideration, and good luck to all who have applied!

Not going to sugar coat this, but with a 26 Act the admissions councilors would have a hard time admitting you even if you were a recruited athlete... most of the recruited athletes have to have at least a 29-31 (and GPA to match)to get help into the university.

If you're set on Notre Dame, I would consider applying to St. Mary's or Holy Cross and trying to transfer after a year. Those two schools have a particularly strong connection to Notre Dame, so with a really strong transfer GPA you may be able to transfer your sophomore year. You could do this from any school, but SMC/HC would give you the opportunity to try out for the Notre Dame Marching Band, and would allow you to join clubs on campus. If you want to try that, make sure to apply by January 1st which I think is the regular decision application date.

Yeah, I'd have to agree with @IliketoFence, a 26 ACT is going to be hard to look past. If you write good enough essays and have a compelling story, your service may be able to put you in position, but without those, it will be more difficult than average.

One thing to note is about your course rigor. As far as ND tells us, they'll look at everybody's school to determine how hard of a schedule that they took given the options/requirements of said school. So if you did everything you could to take a rigorous schedule, ND will see that.

    Best of luck!

You *really* need to raise your ACT/take the SAT and do well in order to have a chance. If you do that, I think you might have a 1 in 2 chance if you were to write your essays extremely well.
I wish you the best of luck! Go Irish!

Would you mind chancing mine, as well?

Hey i was wondering if u could chance me for admission for regular decision, i have a 34 composite act, 4.2./5.33 and go to one of the best schools in the nation( GBS ) as well as many extracurriculars and activities including cross country track boys and girls club and teaching religious ed and a few others. I also had internships in engineering firms and am applying to civil engineering. Finally, I moved to the US from France sophomore year after having gone to a completely french school previously. Chance me if u can if not i get it.
