i think that an acceptance letter would be the perfect cure for you, choco.

is the reason philly students have a better chance b/c Penn is contractually obligated to accept a certain amount of kids from philly?

I think the decisions are almost done....the committees should end by tomorrow because the Ivies let the finan. office and the staff have a whole week to sort out the envelops, and everything else. NERVOUS!

financial aid probably takes only a day. there'll only be like 20-30 kids accepted to huntsman, so that's not a lot to do. they might have finished the single schools though. i tried calling ms mace but her voice mail says she won't be back until tues...is that when decisions are done?
  • chocomanchocoman Registered User Posts: 2,293 Senior Member
I hear that the financial aid office just has like a formula they plug you into.

it probably takes like 5 minutes....

today is december 5th... if i did not rush my scores, but received my score report in the mail a few days ago, would penn have received them in time for decision-making?

if not, that sucks, cause my SAT went up 50 points.

Where do you guys think the adcom is in the admission process? My counselor tells me that they use five or four days before the notification day to test the server, and to double-check. Does that mean they have made the decisions already?

YES! For the one million time! The decisions are done and over with last week. They spend this week packaging the fat envelopes for the acceptees that will go out this Friday and prolly arrive by the 15th.
  • booboocatbooboocat Registered User Posts: 492 Member
i'm sure they spend one day or more laughing at the rejects
so factor that in too, and decisions would've been done sometime ago
