Where is this "Why Penn" essay?!?!?!? I couldn't find it in the supplement.

    Lol, nevermind.

Is anyone else not a fan of the supplemental essay?
  • craisincraisin Registered User Posts: 34 Junior Member
Me! Not that it matters anymore, I'm almost done with putting the finishing touches on both. But when I first read the Why Penn essay I seriously froze. I was like what?? Lol. It doesn't really give much room for incorporating humor and personality. :/

Last month to change my life! Eh. Does anyone else feel like having a major meltdown? I know I do.
  • Hopeful_UnderdogHopeful_Underdog Registered User Posts: 880 Member
^^Haha. I agree! I felt the same way when I first saw the essay prompt! I think your "meltdown" will subside. I went through a series of 2 or 3 days where I was absolutely freaking out--like having to stop myself from hyperventilating every few minutes. Then I got over it, ha. I have a LOT of work to do on my application by I figure freaking out won't help me much, so I'm trying to stay relatively relaxed. I've convinced myself that getting into a great school doesn't matter as much as I once thought it did. I know I'll get in somewhere and I figure where ever I end up going, I'll find a way to love it.

Good luck to you! Hope you find a way to de-stress!

    ^winning attitude right there

Wow, I respect your attitude. Wish I could tell myself to calm down, but that type A personality kicks up every time. I think it's getting better, though. Once the apps are in, there's really nothing left to do but wait. Thanks for the encouraging words! :) And good luck to you, too.

lol thats weird, though im "type A" like u, but I'm not worried at all. I'm actually worried that im not worried (if that makes sense).

I wish there was a time machine that would take me back to freshman year.
  • Hopeful_UnderdogHopeful_Underdog Registered User Posts: 880 Member
Haha, I feel you craisin! I totally agree. But then I'm like hmm, 4 more years of high school?... could I really handle that? Ha, I wish I could have a time machine and just go back and fix all of the little mistakes and then come right back to senior year. Yep, that would be super.
