The three top things Pitt looks for: Rigor of HS courses, GPA in HS, and your SAT/ACT score.

Your rigor is basically on par for Pitt (a good number of honors/AP)

Your GPA is low. 67% of admitted applicants last year had a GPA above 3.75, and 83% had a GPA above 3.5. By being at/below 3.5, you're already in the bottom 17% of admitted students.

In the past, it seems like Pitt looks for at LEAST 600 in M+CR on the SAT. Last year, 63% of admitted applicants had above a 600 CR and 77% had above a 600 M. So if you can get into that pool, you should be okay.

Alumni/Relations enrolled/graduated from Pitt are not considered in your application.

Everything else (essay, letters, clubs) are "considered" which is one step away from not-considered (the steps are: very important, important, considered, not considered).

What does this mean for you:

Work as hard as you can to improve your GPA, as it is your worst factor in your application right now (ASSUMING you have above a 600 in M/CR on your SAT). If you can do that, I think you will be fine in getting in.
