Does Pitt look at all SAT scores?

I (strangely) did a little bit worse on my SAT the second time around--will this look bad, or will they still look at all of the scores I sent them? Will they only look at the highest score I sent them? Does Pitt superscore?

I'm pretty sure Pitt superscores, math and verbal are all they look at, you need over 1400 for UHC and 1450 for scholarship monies.

They will look at all of your scores, but will super score the best from each category. If you have an ACT to send it, they will break it down and super score that too-- they have even mixed ACT with SAT to get the optimum super score.

You should only be worried if you're sending them a LOT of test scores (i.e. if you send more than 3 scores (3 different tests) that's probably an issue). I say that because my HS counselor told me that if you take the SAT (for example) more than twice, colleges get concerned that you are not really studying for them each time you take them.

Sooooo my point is, don't send a lot of scores, but whatever you send they will super score.

That's actually fantastic, because I did way better on my ACT than I did on the SAT.

Common scholarships are full or partial tuition. Often the partial is $10k, which makes your tuition comparable to in-state. I think this year someone posted about a $15k partial as well. Apply early for the best consideration.

Pitt also offers guaranteed graduate school admission to some students as well.

Depends on the state where you're from (much harder to get in-state scholarship vs. out-of-state) and even then, the state you're from affects again (lots of competition for kids from NY, OH, MD, VA, and NJ). Like MD Mom said, there's full and partial ($10k) tuition.

The $15k might have been a combination of partial and engineering (or other) scholarships. I know SSOE gives $2k and $4k/year misc. scholarships, which wouldn't apply to you as an A&S major.
