@hailtopitt1787 Just curious, if we get accepted into Pitt, what would the approximate timeline be for recieving financial aid and merit based aid information?

@G_2019LAG, Yes, @Eagerlyawaiting is correct - you are welcome to apply now and just let us know on the application that you have other scores following later. We encourage you to do this because if the Admissions Committee can make an affirmative decision on your admission without the second score, they will do so. But if they decide they need more information before making a final decision they will see that you have additional scores coming and they will wait to receive those scores before final review.

@DJCURRYBEATS19, The Scholarship Committee starts meeting this month and sends out letters to students who have been selected to receive scholarships November-March 1. Scholarship review and notification is on a rolling basis, just like admissions. If you apply before December 15 and respond to at least one of our Short Answer Questions, you will automatically be reviewed for scholarships.

Financial aid notification goes out in early spring (February or March) every year.

So you can be confident that you will know the full details on your scholarships/financial aid package by March. This gives you plenty of time to make an informed decision before the deadline to commit to Pitt, which is May 1.

Sounds like an admit to me, @DJCURRYBEATS19. Which school are you apply into?

For those who applied through the common app, Pitt is having a lot of trouble and technical difficulties with the common app so it may be a while

@NovaMom93 Thanks, I hope your words prove truthful! I applied to Dietrich.

Can someone point in the right direction on how to check status on the mobile app. I logged in and clicked on admissions. I then clicked on Accept/Decline Admissions and the next screen says "You do not have any pending applications at this time".

@DCNatFan you are in the correct place. The “you do not have any pending applications at this time” message changes once there is a decision. My D’s now has a new screen with the school she is applying into, the school year 2019-2020, and her applicant number. Below all of that are 2 separate buttons of “accept” or “decline”.

I have heard other people who applied after me get accepted, like weeks after me.. I haven’t heard anything, does this mean I was not accepted? Do the acceptances come in order of application date or do i still have a chance?

My D applied via common app on 09/11/2018 and still no emails from Upitt. She also applied with on same day with Drexel and we have already got portal login as well as confirmation that they have received SAT scores.
