My daughter is thinking about going there. Just looking for some pros and cons.

What are her other options or what specific questions do you have? Major?

I found some pros and cons on Quora. I hope that helps. My daughter took the leap and is going to Pitt. What sold her was Pitt's ability to involve undergraduates in research opportunities very early (she is going as a bioengineer), the school's focus on multi-disciplinary education, and the campus atmosphere. She also got a scholarship, so that helped.

The primary negative was that it is so far away and Pittsburgh weather is not exactly southern California.

My daughter applied as an undecided science major. We just went to Pittsburgh last week. I hated it lol! My daughter thinks that the weather won’t bother her. I hear the sun only comes out about 70 days out of the year.

Her other options are Oregon State, the university of Delaware and University of Colorado
