Does anyone know when students will be informed about being accepted off the wait list? is there a chance this year for students to be accepted since i heard that last year no one on the wait list was offered admission ?

Ask this question on admissions FB page and see what you get. I will say that because of severe weather in southeast they extended deadline for enrollment deposit to yesterday - so they probably are just this week going to look at how many accepted students actually claimed their spot in entering class. Usually admissions posts when the class is full....

@amontesano322 My son declined admission via email at the end of April. A few days ago he received a letter in the mail from USC saying that since they didn't receive an enrollment deposit by May 1 that his application had been canceled. It also stated,

"If you are still interested in attending the University of South Carolina, please be aware that the freshman class is full."

If this statement is truthful then the class is full. But if it was something they sent to everyone who failed to deposit to discourage only them, then it may not be true. In that case perhaps they meant that it's full in the sense that HE would no longer be considered. In any case, I thought it was an odd statement and came here looking for a place to post it. I just thought that anyone on the waitlist would be interested.
