Transferring into Marshall Questions

Given the structure of the curriculum for Business majors at USF (my current university), it is not likely that I will have completed the transfer requirements for the USC program in my first year. For instance, USF does not offer a Business Calculus class that apparently their program requires. Financial and Managerial Accounting classes are taken by second-year students at USF.

Is it still possible to apply to USC Marshall transfer after freshman year? And will my chances be affected significantly? Hence, would it be a better option to transfer after my sophomore year?

My son was accepted into Marshall from Wake Forest after his freshman year. He took regular calculus at Wake (got an A-). He did not take accounting as that is a sophomore course at Wake. He had, however, taken AP Micro and Macro Economics in high school and got a 4 and 5 on them and a 5 on AP Stats. He was told by admissions that they look at calculus and econ heavily. You can always try and see what happens. I would talk to someone in admissions about your particular school and the course offerings. Good luck!
