Afraid of Med School Denial...

So, I am currently a Neuroscience major and have been planning on going Pre-Med. I am a junior and it looks like I will graduate with between a 3.2-3.4 GPA. After looking at the stats of people getting into Medical School and talking with my counselor, he said everyone should be prepared to not be accepted their first application period as only 1-8 or so get 1 acceptance. He said that everyone should be prepared and happy to work a year or so in their major and reapply. The problem is I never thought about what to do with my major other then going pre-med. I certainly know that I do not want to go into research but do not know any other career paths for neuroscience majors. What can a neuroscience student do if they are not accepted into medical school?

Wow, who is your advisor? Octavio?
Approximately 50% of med school applicants get rejected, not 7/8. If that is the case at USC, then I'm going to be transferring because him telling you to be happy to work an extra year is **** poor.
Just curious, how did you do in your intro classes. I also don't like how a 3.3 at USC is fricken good, as that much work would probably get a 3.8 at most places. Med schools probably don't recognize that.

woowww. I'm going to be a Neuroscience major as a premed freshman this fall, and I'm doing TO and FSH, but I'm really scared now... I think I have a good work ethic, but I don't know if it's even possible to get the GPA I need for med school. TO and FSH on my transcript should help some for my GPA, right?
