So I got into Marshall...

I'm very happy about this but I have some questions that when answered will hopefully give me a better idea on whether or not to attend USC. In general, is undergrad business at USC worth it? I know eventually I'll go for an MBA so I don't have to major in business as an undergrad. But will the experience be beneficial? How are the classes? Small size? Easy to get into? Are there a lot of group work or more individualized? Easy access to profs? Outside opportunities like club/interships etc? Job placement? Basically, anything you know about USC business would be greatly appreciated.

Hey sunnydaysee i got into Marshall too for the fall 2005 term and I had the same concerns as you.. After doing a lot of research on the school and asking many persons I can tell you that it's definitely worth your going there. ( the tuition being way too high though, you'll have to figure out some ways to finance your education! ). So apart from $TUITION$, I think USC is one of the greatest school for undergrads; its an amazing place where u'll be able to balance a great social and academic life. Besides, the alumni network-from what i know- is supposed to be incredibly helpful and successful-. I dont think an undergrad business student could ask for more. You'll probably be recruited even before you graduate with all those connections!.
well that's just my 5cents, maybe some current USC marshall students will be able to answer your questions better...

sunnydaysee, well about your class size and the easy access to professors and educational experience, i am definitely sure that its worth going to because, lets face it, 40 thousand bux+a lil more is no joke.

im a marshall student, but this ism only my second semester here. ill try to answer your questions.

is it worth? that depends on all kinds of things, cant help you there. if you major in biz admin, then chances are you will be in a career where you wont need to go back t school(why do you think a good majority of mba students dont have biz admin degrees?); again this depends on all kinds of things. my advice: dont think about grad school now, just focus on college for now. My experience has been very beneficial, mostly b/c of my peers and my profs. classes are challenging and rewarding, marhsall is not an easy school and the profs make sure you know your *****. clases for my major have always been available. type of work whether individualized or group depends on the class, though i think its about even. oppurtunities and internships are damn-near limitless: whatever you want, chances are that its here. job-placement is probably the best in socal, thats what we are known for.

if you do come here, be confident that you are getting a good education with many opportunities in the end of your time here.
