Past Transfer Students

Are any of the students on this forum former ACC students that successfully transferred into UT? If so, do you mind posting your stats or at least the date you heard back from UT? I'm trying to transfer into the communications school and was told by a counselor that I need at least a 3.6 GPA but students at UT have told me that I need at least a 4.0 which seems a bit hard to do. Thanks!

I applied as a transfer student in the fall for this spring and got accepted. I had a 3.67 and applied for the school of Education. I think it really depends on what you are trying to apply to in the school of communication. RTF, I'd shoot for that 4.0. Comm studies? I think you'll be fine with a 3.6

As far as a date. I applied before the deadline and heard about 7-8 weeks later. I'm not sure when the deadline is this semester, but I wouldn't expect an answer for 6-7 weeks at least.

@renarka I'm applying for a journalism major which is hard to get into from what I've heard. But at this point I'm completely fine with just getting into UGS as long as I'm admitted
