Changing majors - Cockrell School of Engineering

How easy is it to change engineering majors at UT Austin after acceptance?
Also, do they do general engineering and give us the choice to change after the first year?

They do not have a general engineering program with the chance to change majors after first year. I don't know how easy it is to change engineering majors if you are already in the engineering program. Based on other posts transferring into engineering requires a very high GPA, around 3.75 or higher.

Yes, you have to be accepted into a specific engineering field, and it's hard to transfer once you're in school.
