Didn't see a thread so thought I'd start one for people trying to transfer to UT Austin for the 2020-2021 academic school year.

    I'm thinking of applying as a transfer student for fall 2020. However, it says I need to have taken Calc 2 for the school I'm applying to. Is there anyway I can check if the math course I take at my current college matches the one with UT Austin?

    @MoonKnight I’ll bite. From what you have posted, you are a recent HS grad who will be enrolling in college in the fall. You are from CA.

    Why are you already thinking about transferring?

    I was initially thinking about transferring because I was worried about the safety of the school I was going to but I'm fine now and I changed my mind about transferring. I hope that clears everything up for you.

    Just saying: it was only 3 days ago that you said you were thinking of UT Austin. So yes, confusing.

    I will be applying for spring 20 into college of education with 27 hours at a 4.0. Any thoughts on what might help my application?? What does audit access mean?

    @MoonKnight you wrote...

    But you are actively posting on the USC transfer thread, so clearly you didn’t change your mind about transferring...you changed your mind about UT.

    I am confused. What school do you attend, @MoonKnight? What year are you? Are you in school this summer? If so, where?

    @jym626 I'd rather not divulge so much personal information. Sorry for confusing you.

    Well, @MoonKnight, you are giving unclear and what seems to be inconsistent information. People cannot help when posters do that. If you want good, useful responses, you should provide good, clear, consistent information. Garbage in, garbage out, as they say.

    @MoonKnight

    Clearly from your other posts (unless those are fake news), you are transferring to USC. And you are posting on the USC transfer thread.

    The confusing part is what made you start this thread...

    You didn’t change your mind about transferring...you changed your mind about UT.

    Hey guys, I a student from Blinn CC planning to transfer to the COLA in the spring. I was wondering if the grades I made in some dual credit courses in high school, will affect my transfer GPA that will be considered for admission? The reason I ask is because my gpa at Blinn is a 3.9 after two semesters, whereas when combined with the grades of the dual credit courses it is brought down to a 3.4. I made one B and two C's in those courses.

    Hello, I am a current student in the Dallas county community college district and I am glad to find this fall 2020 thread. Am applying to Cns, gpa 3.71 for now with 32 credits. I have looked at the catalogs and my questions is do I have to have all the classes in the Texas transfer guide? If I took all the classes I would have over 70 credit hours.

    @texasboy12 hey I know this is late but you have pretty similar stats to me when I applied for transfer (and got in!). I would actually put it off until the summer if I were you- in fact, that’s exactly what I did. If you’re gunning for COLA it helps to go for a REALLY niche semester, as a lot of people with much higher GPAs than us were being rejected for the fall and the spring. Plus, you only have to take one course during the summer, and it can be online. Just be sure to focus on your application essays and try to focus on a detail about you that really makes you stick out.

    My son is a freshman at UTD and would like to transfer to UT Austin Fall 2020. He wants to get into McComb but understand it's very competitive. Economics would be a second choice. My question is, can he apply to transfer into both McComb and Economics in the application and see what happens without negative impact on his chances? Thanks.

    Hello, I am a current student in the Dallas county community college district and am planning on transferring to UT in the fall of 2020. I am currently a freshmen but have 21 credits already and by the end of spring i will have a total of 33 credits with a 4.0 and an intention on applying for CNS in computer science. My question is what can I do to increase my chances with things I am able to control.

    Any one trying to transfer from an out of state university? I am a Texas resident but tried going out of state for my freshman year. Being over 800 miles from home is not for me. I was capped last year at UT for BFA but have since changed my major to Environmental and Sustainability Studies. I am concerned with the "required transferable credits" I will have a total of 43.5 credit by the end of my Spring semester at a major state university. Does anyone know how to check if my credits will meet the required?
