Hi, I applied for Computer Science but was put into Physical and Mathematical Sciences. They said I can still do Computer Science in my second year (as everyone can), but I was just wondering how difficult it would be? Has anyone done it? Do alot of people make it through? I have heard UofT really puts the screws to their students first year and especially for comp sci, so I was just wondering if anyone could help me out or share their experience?

Everyone can if their grades are high enough. In the past few years, that hurdle has been very high. Students have required high 80's in the required courses to get into the CS major. The averages in those required courses are in the mid 70's. So, there's a lot of disappointed students.
