Jefferson Scholar OOS at Non-Eligible High School

Hello. I was accepted EA to UVa and wanted to be considered for the Jefferson Scholars but I am not at an eligible nominating high school. Does anyone know when the "at-large" competition nominees would be notified by? Thanks.

I think it's too late now. All candidates have been interviewed and and most finalists have been notified. Srry :(

We just did our at large nominations and sent them to the Foundation. We aren't involved from here, so I can't tell you what the timeline is like.

Debate, the at large process works differently.

@Dean J Thank you for letting me know! My fingers are crossed. I'm assuming it is much harder to be selected at-large as opposed to the regional competitions?

@Dean J Thanks so much for answering UVa questions on here (I know you have a busy schedule); on the topic of at large nominations, about how many from the at-large pool are recommended to the Foundation? Also, how does the number of at large nominees at the Selection Weekend compare to the number of nominees that went through the normal process?
