Additional Recs?

canusacanusa Registered User Posts: 35 Junior Member
I applied RD and recently found out one of my teachers is a UVa alumn. My counselor suggested that I ask him to send a recommendation to UVa, but I'm concerned that it is too late to do so this far into the application review process. Does anyone have any opinions on this dilemma?
I submitted two recs from teachers that have taught me for three and four years (respectively) back in early December, as well as my counselor rec. Should I also send his? Does having a rec from an alumn help?

Any comments are appreciated.

There is no special treatment for recs from UVA alumni. Your two teacher recs are already above and beyond what we ask for. There really isn't a need to send another letter at this point.

It's natural to brainstorm additional things to do during the wait, but extras aren't necessary.

@Dean J Thank you for clearing that up, good luck with the rest of the applications :)
