Hi, I'm currently a student at NVCC and is applying for UVA SPRING 2019 transfer admissions. I am asian male and I came to the united states 1 year ago after graduating highschool from my home country.
I was normally going to apply in the 2018 fall but finished my associates degree and is graduating after this semester.
If I don't get in this spring Ill probably apply for the fall with guaranteed admission.

I'm applying for Computer Science major at the College of Arts and Sciences(CAS) and here are my stats.

SAT: 1530 (740 + 790) (TOOK THIS SUMMER)
SAT SUBJECTS : MATH LEVEL 2: 800, CHEMISTRY: 800 (TOOK THIS SUMMER)
NO AP'S
GPA: 4.0

FALL 2017
SDV 100 A
CSC 200 A
MTH 173 A
CHM 111 A
ENG 111 A

SPRING 2018
MTH 174 A
PHY 231 A
CHM 111 A
ENG 112 A
ECO 201 A
PSY 201 A

SUMMER 2018
MTH 285 A
CSC 201 A
BIO 101 A

FALL 2018
MTH 265
CSC 205
MTH 245
ART 100
CST 100
MUS 121
HIS 101

By the end of the semester I will have 73 credits (at the moment 51 completed) receiving an associates degree in Mathematics(I am double majoring in CS and Math) and probably will have 4.0 gpa. If I don't get in this spring I'll finish my associate in CS as well and apply in the fall for the engineering school.

I am not qualified for instate tuition nor did I apply for financial aid.

Do you think I have a chance of getting in?
I heard last year only 26 students got accepted in the spring semester and over 700 were accepted in the fall.

For those who are applying list your stats below and hope we all receive great results for the spring 2019 transfer!

I am looking for a girl to sublet my room in Dovecote at the corner during the 2019 Spring semester! Rent is originally $827/month without utilities, but I am willing to go down to $700. I have a parking spot that's a 2 minute walk from the building that you can take, and I will also leave my big furniture like my bed, dresser, etc. for free for the semester if you want! You would have your own room and share a bathroom with only one other girl. The building and apartment are beautiful and you'd be living with 4 other girls.

Here is the website of the apartment building: https://www.cbsrentals.com/dovecote.cfm

And the full listing that I have posted: https://virginia.uloop.com/housing/view.php/771842229/Spring-2019-Sublet--Dovecote-at-the-Corner

This apartment has PREMIUM location and amenities, please email me at [email protected] if you have any questions! And congratulations on your acceptance!!

I applied to UVA and am expecting results later this week or next week (In previous years, they've came in November, but nothing yet).

I have a 4.0 GPA, 63 credits (51 completed, 12 in progress), all A's on midterm reports, good ECs (Blockchain internship, created my own website with over 200 writers, have 300K twitter followers on accounts, real estate internship at big company from HS, etc...), decent to good essay, good rec..Around 3.8-3.9 HS GPA/4.

My blemish is that I didn't submit my SAT scores (I got in mid/low 1200's/1600, so thought it'd be a blemish). Kind of concerned that they'll look at that as fishy.

@JeffreyPo the SAT would only be a concern if you only had a year of college work (which it doesn’t seem like you do)! I’m assuming you’re a rising junior? Other than that i really think you’re good. Youre basically my competition! I’m sure you’ll get in, but best of luck :).

    Hey everyone!

I'm a bit late to the party but here are my stats/story.

I am an in-state student at the University of Connecticut double majoring in Political Science and Philosophy. I was recently accepted as a Spring 2019 transfer and have committed to UVA as a Government and Philosophy double major.

    Any other out-of-state transfers?

    Stats/Demographics:

    - Sophomore, third semester, will be transferring for the second half of my sophomore year.

    - Minority, first generation college student.

    - HS GPA: 3.9 unweighted, 4.1 weighted. Got mostly 5's on all AP's I took.

    - At UConn:
    -- Honors student, 3.95 GPA

-- Part of a prestigious research program on campus, work on campus, director of an alternative break, over 100+ hours of community service done directly for the university's Office of Community Outreach, part of a learning community.

-- 61 credits (46 completed, 15 in progress), all A's on midterm report, extensive internship/work experience with nonprofit organizations and local government.
