    Hi! Just retake your SAT and you will have a much better shot at UVA.

    Are you considering UNC CH as well? Usually considered peers and you would have a much better shot at UNC in state vs. UVA OOS. Also, a lot less money for a very similar school (historical, very cool college towns, "public Ivies", traditions, ACC sports, excellent education, etc.) Both are outstanding and recognized throughout the world.

    Most UVA students admitted are in the top 10% of their class so GPA may be a bit low, especially for out of state. The average SAT is also higher than yours for out of state. Retake the test and see if you can get a higher score. Try to get great grades the first semester to submit. Good luck.
