I'm in state, and I am interested in biological engineering, neuroscience, and possibly business.

White Male

GPA: UW: 4.05 (School adds weight for A+'s)
W: 4.6
SAT: 2220 (800 CR 740 M 680 W) First try
Will take Chem and Math II in October. Expect a score between 750 and 800 for each.
Will take ACT in September
Class Rank: Probably top 20 out of 500

AP's: Calculus AB 5, Chemistry 5, World History 5.
I am taking Calculus BC, English Language, and US Government through CTY, Physics C and US History in school, and self studying econ, psychology, and maybe Biology.

Pre high school: Pre Algebra, Algebra I/II, Geometry (All honors), Spanish I

Spanish II
Spanish III H
English 9 H
World History H
Precalculus H
Calculus H
Statistics H
Biology H

Spanish IV H
AP Chemistry
AP World History
AP Calculus AB
English 10 H
Physics (no honors option)

AP US History
AP Physics C
English 11 H
HPE 10
Aerospace Science (fulfills art requirement at my school)
Took less classes so I could continue my research internship through the school year.
Through CTY:
AP English Lang
AP Calc BC
Possibly Linear Algebra or Multivariable (again through CTY)

Probably auditing grad level neurosci course at university in the fall

Mu Alpha Theta (9,10,12)
Debate Team (10,12) Will compete in varsity level this year
Spanish Honors Society (10, 12)
NHS (12)
Science NHS (12)
Varsity Golf (Starter, 12)
Tennis (Intramural, clinics and private lessons)
Conducting research at top university, starting at the end of 10th grade, through this summer, and continuing through the school year as well.
Volunteering: Tutoring 40+ hours of math and science, possibly volunteering at a hospital

After 9th grade:
Attended CTY Summer Program at JHU, and took Accelerated High School Chemistry
Played in regional golf tournaments, placed in top 3 in a few tournaments.
After 10th grade:
Aforementioned Research
Continued playing in regional tournaments.

3rd place Speaker Regional Debate Tournament
6th place Team Regional Debate Tournament
1st Place Skit, Speaking, 3rd Place declaration in Regional Spanish Competition

Both teachers will be excellent, will also have one from my the head of the lab I do research at, and one from my golf coach.

Other stuff:
I am graduating high school early, hence nothing going on in 11th grade. The reasons are various, and both academic and social.
Also, I switched schools (and states) from 9th to 10th grade. This, and the graduating early, are why I don't have that many leadership positions. I also missed both science fairs at both schools.

There's no such thing as a garauntee, but you come pretty close, especially because you're in state.

My instate son had very similar stats and high school courses (including CTY!) and is attending UVA.

Anxious to know if my son who is only taking Honors classes and only Ag 2 as a junior has any chance of getting in to NCSU if he applies to the Ag School?

Please post "Chance Me" threads in the "Chance Me" section of the forum. You will receive more responses there and not clutter the UVA section.
    Best of luck
