So lets say we getting final decisions for colleges in April but want to get the good dorms right now. If we turn in the deposit and get into our top choice in the spring, can we back out of the deposit?

the form states that you have until May 1st to "back out". send in your forms by the date specified and if you end up not going, theyll refund the check.

Just make sure you make your refund request in writing next spring. Also remember that the residence halls require their own request, telling the university you are not coming will not tell them; the two are independent entities.

Residence Halls deposit (the 50 dollar one): refundable

Intent to enroll deposit (the 100 dollar one): non refundable, May 1st deadline
