This is a list of all the food places that are within a few blocks of Vanderbilt's campus. As you can see, there are lots of options for great food. I really like Bound'ry and Cabana (nice atmosphere, good food).
Acorn Restaurant (American)
Amerigo's (Italian)
Atlanta Bread Company (Bakery)
Baja Fresh (Mexican)
Blackstone Restaurant & Brewery (Brewhouse)
Boscos Nashville Brewing Co. (Brewhouse)
Bound'ry Restaurant (Diverse)
Bricktop's (American/Steak/Seafood)
Broadway Brewhouse & Mojo Grill (Brewhouse)
Cabana (American)

How many of the above accept the Vandy Card as payment?

Taste of Nashville is relatively new, but theres a good number of places that accept the card.

Chili's (national chain -- solid place to go with friends)
Sunset Grill (formal type of place - go here with parents)
Cabana (great hangout -- sort of a west coast vibe)
Sam's (sportsbar -- great place to watch games)
RolyPoly Sandwiches (very close to Peabody)
Bread and Company (good quality, a little expensive)
    Roma's Pizza
PapaJohns Pizza (the best chain pizza place in my opinion)
    Obie's Flying Tomato Pizza
    Michaelangelo's Pizza
Bruegger's Bagels (across from the library, good place to get breakfast)
    Crescent Cafe and Oyster Bar
    Cheeseburger Charley's (good burgers)
Cafe Coco (indie style cafe -- open 24hrs)
Wendy's (open til 4am....great place to get quick food after partying on fridays/saturdays)
