Where else are you applying?

We all know and love Vanderbilt. But, except for the ED accepted kids, this process is long from over. My question is, where else are all of you applying?

My List: University of Alabama (accepted), Auburn (accepted), Vandy, UVa , Wake Forest, Davidson, Furman, William and Mary, Washington and Lee

I got rejected from northwestern ED. So now I have vandy, duke, creighton, loyola in Chicago, and Michigan. I've been accepted to creighton and loyola but those are my safety schools so i'm not completely happy yet!

I'm surprised that Wake Forest isn't on more people's lists! I found Vanderbilt to be almost identical to Wake, though in a much much cooler city. (aka, not my hometown, haha)

tmat91, just out of curiosity, what's the common thread in the schools you picked?
It almost looks like a mash up of 2 lists to me. Whitman, Colorado College, Middlebury, Hamilton, and maybe CMC, clearly go together. The others do not so clearly fit (not to me anyway).

Don't get me wrong, the ones I know are all great schools. I'm curious though, as a Chicago alum with a kid at Colorado College (whom I'd have a very hard time picturing either at Chicago or at Vandy).

    Wash U
    Illinois Wesleyan (accepted)

In common: small to medium sized good academic schools in or near a large city that tend to give pretty good aid, especially for National Merit Semifinalists.

i'm applying to 9 schools total:
Vanderbilt (obviously), Notre Dame, Princeton, Wash U, Georgetown, Boston College, College of the Holy Cross, Villanova (Business), and U of I Business (accepted!)

I probably have too many reaches in my list, but since I already got in at U of I, i don't really need any back ups and I might as well take some risks
