paige... was any part of your app incomplete? i received a letter around 4/10 or so saying that my deans statement was missing. i'm hoping that caused my delay...

Yeah, I got that letter, too. I called them and got in straightened out. They lost like 2 parts of my application. They found them finally.

So I guess we'll hear soon? Ayyy I hate waaaiting

lol, i probably will not be attending wake...i have several reasons...first they sent me an email today saying that the following departments do not accept transfer credits...this is what the email says: ***Please note:The following departments at Wake Forest do not accept
transfer credit from a 2 year or junior college:
    Psychology
    English
    Anthropology
    Chemistry
    Physics
    Sociology
    Business
    Philosophy
    Women's Studies
So what would be the point of going? i dont wanna spend another 2 years there. Also, i heard people saying there is a lack of minorities. Im a minority and i dont wanna feel like a minority, and last but not least the grade deflation. I want to go to a good graduate school and with their grade deflation, i will not have any time for myself.. I really did want to go, but after all those things i read, i decided to stay @ my college for another year... Not to mention that they only gave me 20 thousand for financial aid, i dont wanna owe 40 Gs + airfare when i go there :-(

while the aid portion of your post may be true, the rest isn't. last year when i was accepted as a transfer, i received an email requesting the syllabi from many of the classes you have listed above so they could be evaluated for transfer credit. they would not have the accepted students go through the hassle of collecting these if transfer credit wasn't possible(and likely, at that.)

i was part of a four year institution, however, and not a jr. college. the branch campus I attended however, does only serve to offer the first 2 years of your education with less than 5 major programs being fully available there.

lol, i looked at the email again and it did ask for a syllibus, but it says they dont accept anything from a 2 year completed during high school, which means im still losing credit...I'd rather wait and go to a funner school who will accept all credits haha..

ps. if you were accepted last year, how come u didnt go? (just wondering)

It sounds like you just want to play and not work at all. Wake can definately give you a good education, it just takes effort.

I know from checking into summer courses for my son that Wake will not approve or accept any credits from a community or 2yr college. From 4 yr institutions you must turn in syllabus of course in order to get it approved and it must meet the general requirements of the equivalent course at Wake (ie number of papers required, etc).
