I think chances are good. You’re a URM from a relatively underrepresented state. ACT isn’t bad-my son’s WashU class had a URM from Mississippi with a 30 ACT.

Your course rigor will be taken into context of your school, so the relative lack of APs is fine especially if you have taken all the ones offered at your school.

Had you applied ED, you would have certainly been accepted.

I might consider ED2 if you are willing to commit.

Could anyone chance me? I’m really interested in this school, but I want to keep my options open so I applied regular decision.

    SAT: 1560
    GPA (weighted): 4.45 (unweighted): 3.98

Major of interest: Biology (concentration in genetics or microbiology)

ECs: Varsity Tennis and First Chair Clarinet all four years. Future problem solvers club, president of environment club at local teen center, Peer tutor program (tutoring in and outside of school) JSA member

    Community service:
Captain of a Relay For Life Team (summer fundraiser): we raised over 1600 dollars
Tutoring at teen center, school, and library

    Work experience:
Coached Tennis (head instructor of children’s classes and helped run adult classes)
Help run my parent’s small business (filling out forms, printing orders, etc)

Essays: I wrote about a really impactful moment during my fundraising project and how that lead me to start my own club
My supplemental essay focused on Microbiolgy and how I’d pursue my passion on campus (research and clubs)

Hook? I think my interest in the sciences paired with my musical talents is unique? Also, I’m the first one in my family attending college, but does a first generation college status even help?

Demonstrated interest: I attended the college rep’s informational meeting when she visited my school, I have an upcoming campus visit plus interview!!

I really want to get in (I was rejected ED to Northwestern) and I just need to know if there’s a chance!!!

@Xaalis2020 your chances are very good.
@Satanna Your chances go up if you change it to ED 2.

Re post #3, it’s bad form to hijack someone else’s thread.
