nikkosuave - Ill address your question in two parts. (FOR ARTSCI KIDS)

    FIRST PART -AP TESTS

    MATHEMATICS (L24) Test: MBC
The Mathematics Department gives a placement exam, available online and also during the Fall orientation period. Only an AP score of 5 receives automatic credit and placement into the calculus sequence. Meaning you either get a 5 or take placement exam.

5 6 units of credit for Math 131 and 132. You will be placed into Math 233.
*An AB Subscore of 5 will earn 3 units of credit for Math 131.
4 Take Math Placement test. You will probably be placed into Math 233.
3, 2, 1 Students with scores of less than 4 should consult with their advisors about placement based on the Math Department Placement Test, SAT scores and high school record. It will be helpful to your advisor if you bring with you the title and the author's name of the calculus book you used in high school and a photocopy of its table of contents, indicating which chapters you covered.

VERY IMPORTANT -->Any student entering the Calculus 131-132-233 sequence can receive AP credit for earlier courses in this sequence by successful completion (grade of C+ or better) of the next course in the sequence.

    SECOND PART - COLLEGE CREDIT

    * The maximum total of transferable credits from AP and/or college courses is 15. MEANING CHOOSE CAREFULLY WHAT YOU WANT TO USE AS CREDIT!

Credit for College Work Prior to Matriculation (meaning precollege college work)

The academic policy of the College of Arts and Sciences permits the transfer of credit earned at other colleges and universities prior to graduation from high school IF:

    1. The course is one for which credit would normally be awarded
    2. The course was taken at a fully accredited college or university
    3. The course was
    * a bona fide college course taught on the campus of a college or university
    * enrolled primarily by duly matriculated college students--i.e., high school graduates
    * taught by a regular college faculty member
    4. The course was taken after the junior year of high school.

    5. The course is not on the high school transcript and did not count towards the high school diploma.

    Please Note:
    * All of the above conditions must be satisfied in order for a course to qualify for credit. If any one condition is not satisfied, Washington credit will be denied.

    Documentation Required:
    1. Application for "Washington University Credit for College Course Work Completed Prior to High School Graduation" ->

    http://artsci.wustl.edu/~college/Forms/PrematriculationCredit.pdf

    2. Course Description or syllabus for each course
    3. Official Transcript bearing the Registrar's seal or its equivalent

    Send documentation to:

    Freshman Transcript Evaluation
    College of Arts and Sciences
    Washington University, Box 1117
    One Brookings Drive
    St. Louis, MO 63130

I know yall aspiring students probably took a gazillion AP tests and college courses since thats the trend here at WASHU, but a note to yall. CHOOSE YOUR TRANSFER CREDITS CAREFULLY. THE BETTER YOU SCORE THE FEWER POINTS YOU HAVE.

TO GET CREDIT YOU NEED TO FILL OUT FORMS TAKE PROGRESSIVE CLASSES ETC ETC SO DONT JUST SEND IN YOUR SCORES AND GO WHOOPDIDOO! YOU WONT GET THE CREDIT UNLESS APPROVED BY THE DEPARTMENTS! Anyways Good Luck!
