Note to all responders/readers: some stats/ec's are rough estimates or predictions as I am a current junior in high school (some stats could improve or worsen)

Planned major: Architecture/ Historic Preservation (Thinking about Industrial Design/ Art History/ Art/ Urban Planning)

Race: White
Gender: Male
State: Illinois
SAT: 1410
ACT: 31
GPA: 4.9
UW GPA: 3.6
Grades: Majority A's, with some B's, and a C in both semesters of math Freshman year, one C first semester of math Sophomore year, and one C in Chemistry first semester (math is obviously not my strong suit, but I've been improving each year in math + all of my classes). I understand where I went wrong freshman and sophomore year, and I've learned and grown so much since then. I'm relying more on my portfolio/ art/ essays/ supplements/ ECs to get me in.
- my grades and GPA throughout high school definitely show an "upward trend"
School: Public, diverse, established
Classes:
- Highest level of every class at my school taken, excluding AP Physics (honors physics instead)

Freshman Year:
- Honors Literature
- Honors Algebra II
- German I
- Biology
- Art (general)
- Intro to Social Science

Sophomore Year:
- AP Human Geography
- Honors British Lit
- Honors Geometry
- German II
- Drawing I
- Photography I
- Honors Chemistry

Junior Year:
- AP US History
- AP Biology
- Honors Pre-Calc
- Honors Studio Art
- Honors German III
- Honors Speech
- Drawing II

Senior Year:
- AP Art History
- AP Art Studio
- AP Stats
- Honors Physics
- AP German
- AP Literature
- Photography II

ECs/Awards (not sure if all of these matter or are valid lol)
- member of NHS
- various art awards
- member of JSA (essentially debate club) (leadership position)
- various volunteer work
- painted mural on a building in my community with 2 of my friends (no compensation)
- volunteer work that relates to fields of architecture and art (e.g. volunteering at historically and architecturally significant sites)
- Chemistry category winner science fair
- interned with arch firm in my area
- Art Club
- German Club
- German exchange program
- Design Club (leadership position)
- hopefully more unique ECs to come senior year

Arch/Art Portfolio:
- let's say it's amazing, top score, very impressive (not describing it this way myself, just asking what would my chances be IF it was an incredible portfolio)

Essay:
- again, let's say my essay will be astounding, perfectly written, and shows a great amount of individuality and personality.

Schools that I'm looking at include:
- Cooper Union NYC
- RISD
- University of Washington- Seattle
- Virginia Tech
- University of Washington in St. Louis
- Pratt Institute
- Middlebury College
- Boston University
- Illinois Institute of Technology
- University of Maryland- College Park
- University of Michigan- Ann Arbor
- University of Illinois- Urbana Champaign
- University of Pennsylvania
- Brown University
- SAIC
- McGill University
- Fordham University
- UW Milwaukee
- Northeastern University
- Syracuse University

-If there are any other colleges you think I'd be interested in based on the info provided in this post, I'd really appreciate some recommendations :)) Thanks!!
