What do you want to study? If you want to study English/Creative writing, check out Adroit Journal's list of what they consider to be the best creative writing colleges. Between the lists of the last 3 years, you can compile a list of reaches and targets. You should also look at liberal arts colleges. there are few with excellent writing programs (Kenyon of course, Midd, and Davidson)

Your stats are great, though not spectacular, however, for a creative writing major, you are doing well with your fairly impressive list of awards. It is impossible to actually figure out what you exact chance is, but I would hazard to say that your chances of being accepted to a very good creative writing program are well above the average acceptance rates of the colleges to which you will apply.

That being said, a reach is a reach. Even if your chances are triple the average ones, for a colleges like Princeton, that's still less than 20%, meaning that there is more than an 80% chance that you will be rejected.

Emory is one of the best writing programs out there, and it's ED acceptance rate in 2023 was about 43%, as opposed to it's average of about 27%. So your idea of applying to Emory ED is a good one.

Emerson is likely a safety - if you were a student at my kid's HS, I would say that it was a safety for you, or close to a safety.

I'll be studying English, and I've already took a look at Adroit's top schools for English. I will be applying to a few them. Thank you for your reply. Anyone else, please feel free to comment.

Have you looked at any LACs? Carleton in Minnesota and St. John's in New Mexico come to mind, as does University of Puget Sound. As it so happens those schools would be 1) reach 2) target 3) safety choices in that order.

I'm not really looking to go to a liberal arts college because when I get into college, I'm
looking to add business or something along that field as a major as well. I'd like to attend a more general university. But thank you for your suggestion.

I don't think my test scores are that great. They're pretty average for top tier colleges, but I mainly prepped by taking a lot of practice tests and making sure I understood what I was getting wrong. Thank for commenting.

You can search up TEDxYouth and learn how to create an event. I don't want this to be chat that turns into asking me how I did things in my high school career; I'd just like people to offer advice to my college selection.
