Best schools for neuropsychology.

The closest major I’ve found to neuropsychology is the
psychology department in JHU (it offers neuroscience-related classes to psych majors)

Anyone know of any others?

Neuroscience at USC is very psychology-based; about half the classes for the B.A. are (or can be, depending on your course selection - it’s a very broad program) psychology and the other half are biology related.

Philosophy-Neuroscience-Psychology (PNP) at Washington University in St. Louis.

Pardon my ignorance but how is neuropsychology not redundant? Perhaps it deals with the biological basis of psychology but isn’t that neuroscience?

well, neuroscience is basically the study of the nervous system.
neuropsychology is psychological and behavioral studies in relation to brain structure and function.

Penn has an excellent program called Biological Basis of Behavior–an extremely popular major at Penn. In addition to faculty in the School of Arts and Sciences, the program includes faculty in Penn’s top medical and veterinary schools, and the engineering school (all of which are mere blocks from each other on Penn’s compact, unified campus). Penn’s BBB major has been around since 1978, and is quite comprehensive and impressive:

Additionally, Penn is planning to build a new 100,000-square-foot Neural and Behavioral Sciences Building, to further enhance its leadership in this interdisciplinary field:

Thanks so much 45 Pencenter! I think Penn has exactly what I’m looking for!

^ If you haven’t already done so, be sure to check out the BBB faculty list:

This really typifies Penn’s long-standing leadership in interdisciplinary study, as embodied in its vaunted “One University” policy, and BBB is right up Penn’s alley. It also provides a wealth of undergraduate research opportunities.

That’s really niceeeee :] thankss!

Pittsburgh has a really great neuroscience program and it’s one of the largest in the country:

It seems like Pitt gives lots of undergrad research opportunities
