<p>^ I concur, to a point. Surely not recruitable at a strong D1 program, but possibly recruitable at a strong academics, competitive admissions, weaker fencing college. Vassar, Lafayette, and Haverford come to mind.</p>
<p>Your challenge will be to convince the coaches that you’re a good fencer. Are you? No national ranking isn’t a big problem. No USFA rating (you didn’t say, but I’m assuming so) would be a bigger problem. Hopefully you have some strong competitive results. If you’re good enough to contribute to a team and can prove so to a coach, you can probably be recruited somewhere.</p>
