Reflective:[] Strengths: courseload, essays, recs [] Weaknesses: test scores, gpa, EC’s/volunteer[] Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: essays mostly, my test scores aren’t that great and neither is my gpa compared to ivy scale. Although, I’ve gotten straight A’s the past 3 semesters. Sophomore year’s grades are what killed my gpa [] Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected:
Accepted- Cal Poly Pomona
Waitlisted-
Rejected- Cal Poly SLO, Caltech
Waiting for: Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Princeton, UC Berkeley, USC, Harvey Mudd

General Comments: I’m honestly surprised. I found out I was rejected from SLO and caltech on the same night and was pretty down in the dumps… then a week later I get into Cornell through the URM email! So don’t lose hope people! I think essays play a major role in their decision and it’s not all about grades or test scores. Good luck to everyone else!
