What's high school like?

I agree with @Smrtical‌ on most of his pieces of wisdoms. He gives good advice. The only thing I might disagree with is make friends with everyone. I think it is perfectly fine to be friendly to everyone, but it’s okay too to be selective about your friends and who you hang out with. I was that kid who made many good friends, but also acquaintances in high school by being nice to everyone. However, at the end I realized you have to determine who your true friends are. The ones that you will stay with after graduation and who have always got your back no matter what. Those are the ones you should truly put time into.

It’s okay to stand up for yourself and not go with the flow as well. At some point in high school, you will be challenged in what you believe in. Show some guts by not following what everyone else does, but choosing your own path. That’s one of the reasons I recommended being selective earlier.

And like @Apollo11‌ said, high school, like anything else is what you make of it. There is a reason why every single person has a different experience, but you can choose how it affects you by having a good attitude and taking advantage of all it has to offer.

Congrats on starting an exciting experience!
