Colleges for the Jewish "B" student (Part 1)

Dear CC friends,

We have become quite the close knit family over the past few years. So it is with a very sad and heavy heart that I write today to convey news that the ill community member that I mentioned earlier in the month remains in grave condition. Boysx3 suffered a a severe right brain cerebral hemorrhage / hemorrhagic stroke on Sept. 5. She had surgery to remove a large blood clot and part of her skull (which is being kept in an incision in her abdomen) at xxx Hospital Center. She has made some progress, but remains in a coma and her prognosis is unclear.

I have been in touch with her husband and let him know that we are all praying for her recovery. Boysx3 has 3 young adult sons, a wonderful spouse and a new life in the DC area - much to live for. Please join me in keeping her and her family in your thoughts and prayers. I am so struck by the fragility and unpredictability of life. She was completely fine just a day earlier - we spoke and made plans to meet for lunch on September 6th. I am praying that she recovers and we can resume our friendship, but for now, all I can do is pray for her recovery.
