SAT Score delayed!!!

I’m a Chinese test taker. I took the test in Nepal. It’s already weird for me to go there for the test(no offence), since most Chinese students would choose HK, Macau, Taiwan or somewhere nearer. But this Oct. test already influenced us a lot before the delay occured. Asia World Expo, where we usually took SAT in HK, had some events so the test there was put off till 25th. In order not to affect our application, most of the Chinese test takers like me, had to choose another country and paid much more for the test, as you can imagine. Though it’s centainly nothing to do with CB, I only felt worse after my score got delayed.

There are just no such reasons for CB to do that! Most of us are innocent. And, to be honest, it’s really the first time for me to hear that someone could really get the REAL test materials ahead of time. Of course I knew this kind of thing happened before, and I’ve heard about it a lot that someone RICH enough in China paid like 20,000 RMB or more for such materials. BUT, most turned out to be fake!! And as for the “organizations” mentioned in many news reports, I’d say most of them just used old test materials to help students study for the test.

And such situations occured only because of CB’s own problems!! How could test materials be reached? Isn’t it because of CB’s own leak in security? Or isn’t it due to the fact that CB often reused old test materials, and gave the chance for such “organizations” to guess?? And don’t you think it’s just idiot for CB to make the whole Aisa use the same paper for one test?! Seems like CB simply doesn’t understand what time zones mean!! Some cheating tricks appear just because of that! For instance, when test in Korea is over, the test in Dubai maybe hasn’t started. CB can’t simply blame the test takers but ignore the problems within its FAIR test systems!

I’m already lucky, since I decided not to apply for EA/ED long ago. But I don’t see the point why CB held all of our scores. It’s the first time for me to take SAT in Oct. and to tell you the truth, in the test center of Nepal where I took the test, there were only no more than 20 Chinese students among a total of about 300(see how few of us went there to take the test…). And during the test, nobody got reported by the supervisors due to cheating or sth. else, at least in my room. You know what, there were at most 5 supervisors in the room at the same time, and there were only 50 students in one room! How could anyone cheated under such circumstances? Probably someone brave enough. So really don’t think students as someone with superpower and could do anything during the test. MOST ARE INNOCENT!!!

And I really want to ask, how could you know if someone really cheated just judging from his or her scores or LOCATION?! Is CB psychic??

Sorry for so many complaints…I’m just extremely angry about what is written in the news: “Tom Ewing, a spokesman for the Educational Testing Service, said scores were being withheld based on the nations where students lived, not where they took the exam.”

WHERE THEY LIVED. Tell me it’s not racist? I don’t believe it.
