You should probably start a new discussion, this one is from 3 years ago. Anyway, if you think you’ve exhausted all opportunities in you current college and that Harvard and only Harvard offers something that your college doesn’t, it would be worth a shot to apply. Your SAT’s would need to be nearly perfect, as well as the rest of your application. Also, as a transfer you have to be very specific in your reason for going to Harvard. “One of the departments and outstanding professors” is not specific enough - Is there a particular research going on that you would like to take part in? A professor whose appeals to you so much you are dreaming of becoming a member of his research group? Don’t worry about a full scholarship - if you get in, Harvard will provide you with all the financial assistance you need. So overall, if you have a specific reason and really good stats you should try your chances and apply. It would be nice to have another Eastern European here!
