It’s worth noting this does not consider the strengths of each pool and how much of a bump to your chances ED/EA would actually give. It’s also worth considering the EA deferral to RD acceptances would not be counted in the EA acceptance rate, so it makes sense for the acceptance percentage to be lower than overall for EA.
A 4% applicant increase, if it holds the same in RD, would mean likely an 18.5%ish acceptance rate, so in line with last year’s 19% overall.
